"Amekosa kufika bila ata ya kutoa udhuru ya kukosa kufika. Hawa ndio viongozi ambao tumewachagua ."

NTV has criticized Lang'ata MP Felix Odiwour alias Jalang'o for skipping its program despite having confirmed that he will be present for an interview.

The station's News Anchor Salim Swaleh said he had invited the former radio presenter to his news program dubbed Kigoda Chako for an interview on Monday.

Swaleh says the new MP confirmed he would attend the interview but ended up failing to do so without issuing an apology.

"Kama kawaida siku ya juma tatu huwa tunawaweka viongozi wako Kigodani kwa ajili ya kujibu maswali yako ambayo unatutumia moja kwa moja. Kwa masikito makubwa Mbunge mpya wa Lang'ata Felix Odiwuor AKA Jalang'o mwenyewe hakufike lich ya sisi kumualika na yeye kudhibitisha ya kuwa atafika," he added.

He took a swipe at the MP saying he has failed to be accountable to his electorates by failing to cease such a chance to explain to his residents the agenda he has for them.

"Amekosa kufika bila ata ya kutoa udhuru ya kukosa kufika. Hawa ndio viongozi ambao tumewachagua na kuwapa majukumu ambayo wameshindwa kuja kuyaelezea mbele yako wewe mtazamaji."

Jalang'o was yet to issue a statement on the same by the time of going to press.

During the segment, Swaleh hosts political leaders during which they address myriad of issues, and viewers are allowed to ask their questions.
