Former Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria says he will delete all his social media accounts on Wednesday, September 13, at 6:00 PM.

In an update via Twitter on Tuesday, September 13, Kuria stated that he had achieved his goal of making sure William Ruto ascends to the Presidency.

"My objective has been achieved. My good friend William Ruto is the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya. This account will be permanently deleted on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at 18:00 hours. It was great interaction guys. Adios," he stated.

President William Ruto was sworn in at Kasarani as the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

In his first address, Ruto promised to address the high cost of living and announced that from next week, the Government had made arrangements to make 1.4 million bags of fertilizer available at Ksh3,500 for a 50kg bag down.

"I appeal to county governments in Eastern, Central and Western regions, to work with us in making sure that the fertilizer is available to farmers. Additionally to cushion tea farmers, we have made arrangements with KTDA to immediately supply tea farmers with fertilizer at Kshs 3,500 down from Kshs 6,500. This is our initial intervention, we will be doing more for the medium term and the long term.

"Jobs is our other priority. It is time for us to stem the tide of youth unemployment. Every year, 800,000 young people join the workforce and over 600,000 of them do not find opportunities for productive work. Moreover, our young people in cities and towns face very hostile environments, many times treated as a nuisance and their hustles criminalized. Those who seek to set up formal businesses are faced with the bureaucratic monster that is multiple licences," the Head of State said.

Kenyans from all walks of life thronged the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi City for Ruto's inauguration on Tuesday.

"The over 60,000 Kenyans from across the country started arriving at the Stadium as early as 3am Tuesday morning ahead of the swearing-in ceremony that will be attended by several visiting Heads of State and Government, high level delegations and a wide array of dignitaries," part of a statement by State House read.
