“Tuko na serikali ambayo ilinyakua na bado tuko na maswali. Lakini maisha lazima iendelee," Martha Karua.

Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has asked Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir to collaborate with the government after being sworn into office.

Speaking in Mombasa on Thursday, September 15, Karua, however, asked the new Mombasa county boss to collaborate from a standing position not a kneeling position.

The Azimio presidential running mate in the August 9 elections said told the governor that was Mombasa was solidly behind him.

“I want to say to governor Abdulswamad Nassir, collaborate with the government but collaborate from a position of strength and not kneeling down. Collaborate knowing that Mombasa is solidly behind you,” Karua stated.

Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir takes oath of office as Mombasa’s second governor.

She further assured the former Mvita MP that Azimio will be at hand to help and support him whenever they will be a need.

Karua claimed that the current administration grabbed power urging Azimio supporters in the county to be united and remain behind their leaders.

“Tuko na serikali ambayo ilinyakua na bado tuko na maswali. Lakini maisha lazima iendelee. Kwa wafuasi wa Azimio na wale wote wamechaguliwa katika Azimio, mjipe moyo. Make nyumba ya governor ndio muweze kuwa na nguvu,” Karua said.

She reiterated her move to go to the East Africa Court of Justice to determine whether the Supreme Court delivered justice in upholding President William Ruto’s election.
