Gachagua's tour of Kisumu donning shades and boarding a private jet generated a lot of buzz on social media.

Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi was warned Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to be wary of his political steps not to cause trouble between him and his boss, President William Ruto.

In a statement after Gachagua caused a stir on social media after he attended National Music Festival in Kisumu, Mutahi Ngunyi warned that Gachagua could be digging his political grave in the long run.

He said while the country was mesmerized by his move to put on shades in his tour of Kisumu, the move could be costly suggesting that it could give him more clout than his boss President Ruto.

Ngunyi noted that this is not the first time the DP has outshone his boss at public events noting that he should trade carefully going forward.

"Dear Riggy G. First LAW of POWER: Never OUTSHINE your MASTER. You did this on Inauguration Day. And today you FLEW in a military PLANE to Kisumu wearing SHADES. Country LOVED it. But remember this from the Arap Moi COOKBOOK of POLITICS: The Presidency is a JEALOUS institution," he noted.
