Col Waweru's body was found inside his car near the Moi Air Base on Juja Road in Nairobi. 

Police have launched investigations after the death of a senior Kenya Airforce officer Colonel Flavian Mwangi Waweru. 

The deceased's body was found inside his car on Monday, September 27, near the Moi Air Base on Juja Road in Nairobi. 

According to a police report, witnesses alerted the military personnel after seeing the car there for a long time who in turn rushed to the scene. 

The military personnel is said to have rushed to the scene and found Col Mwangi unresponsive. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed he was dead. 

The deceased is said to have left the camp at 4pm on Monday and said that he was going to the city centre.

Last week on Friday, Col Waweru presided over the closing ceremony of the Kenya Air Force New Soldiers Sports Talent Search Championship 2022 at the Sina Makosa Stadium, Moi Air Base in Nairobi.
