The suspect is said to have turned the knife on the ex-lover after killing the boyfriend.


A man has stabbed boyfriend to her ex-girlfriend after he raided her house and found a man on her bed at a house in Trans Nzoia. 

The man identified as Alex Okelo Mukholo is said to have arrived at Joan Sirengo's house around 5 am.

He found Joan and her new lover Alfred Wafula Mang'oli spending the night together.

The Suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the deceased several times.

The deceased's mother Hellen Mideva said that the suspect sneaked into the house at around 5 am.

She said she stabbed him several times to death.

"It was around 5 am when the man came and found my son asleep in the house. The ex-girlfriend was taking a bath in an outside bathroom not far from the house," Mideva said.

The suspect is said to have turned the knife on the ex-lover after killing the boyfriend.

The woman is undergoing treatment at the Kitale county Referral hospital where she is admitted.

Trans Nzoia County Criminal investigations boss Francis Kihara confirmed the incident.

He said police were in hot pursuit of the Suspect who works in a bakery in Kitale Town. 

Kihara further said that the suspect used a kitchen knife when he ambushed the two lovers. 

"The suspect had actually armed himself with a kitchen knife which he used in stabbing the deceased eight times on the stomach, chest and hands. The lady was stabbed four times on the hands and chest," said Kihara. 

The suspect is believed to have escaped to Uganda through Malaba boarder.
