Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has assured outgoing Education CS Prof. George Magoha that President William Ruto’s administration is not in a hurry to get rid of him.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 12, during the launch of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms, Gachagua said that Magoha has been committed and resourceful in his work.
The DP thanked the outgoing CS for his contributions urging him to take his time and hold the hand of the incoming Education CS.
“You have expressed patriotism that though you are outgoing, you did not just walk away and say let other people come and take care of it. You have been very committed and really assisted in getting this get to work. Ahsante sana.
“I want to assure you that we are not in a hurry to get rid of you. Take your time. This is your country, this is your government and although there will be an incoming CS, I am sure you will hold his hand,” Gachagua stated.

The DP hinted at President Ruto’s administration giving the outgoing CS a position in government after maintaining that he will be called upon when need arises.
“You’re a senior citizen who has served this country with distinction and when need arises and we need your input and advice, I’m sure the president will be able to call upon you to come and help,” Gachagua said.
Previously, Magoha maintained that if his values align with those of the Head of State and the President finds it in his heart that he deserves an offer, then he will accept the offer.
President Ruto nominated Ezekiel Machogu as the Education CS.
