The DP took the office and has since been serving Kenyans from there.

The appointment of Mudavadi as prime cabinet secretary is part of his coalition agreement with President William Ruto.

Mudavadi was to be given the position after delivering 70 per cent of Western Kenya votes.

The President was however magnanimous to award him the role since he failed to deliver the percentage of the votes.

According to Ruto, Mudavadi’s position is third most senior most after his office and that of the Deputy President.

Mudavadi severed ties with ODM leader Raila Odinga to join Ruto ahead of the 2022 elections after citing lack of trust.
