 Wetang'ula noted that Mr. Njoroge would oversee the day-to-day operations and affairs of the National Assembly.

Samuel Njoroge has been appointed as the new clerk of the National Assembly, speaker Moses Wetang'ula has announced.

In a statement via Twitter on Tuesday, November 1, Wetang'ula noted that Mr. Njoroge would oversee the day-to-day operations and affairs of the National Assembly.

"The Clerk of the National Assembly is the administrative and procedural head of the National Assembly and oversees the day-to-day operations and affairs of the National Assembly.

I wish to take this early opportunity to congratulate on behalf of the Members of Parliament Mr.Njoroge on his appointment as the Clerk of the National Assembly  replacing Mr. Michael Sialai,CBS, Until his appointment was the Director of Legislative & Procedural Services in the house," Wetang'ula said.

Mr. Njoroge now takes over from Serah Kioko who has been acting as clerk since the tenure of Michael Sialai ended.
