The changes were announced by the acting Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow.


The National Police Service has appointed Resila Atieno as the new spokesperson.

Atieno will take over from Bruno Shioso who has been promoted to the National Police Service Training College Commandant in Kiganjo.

The Kiganjo commandant post was left vacant following the promotion of Japheth Koome who is set to take over as the Inspector General of Police.

In the changes, Deputy Commandant Philip Ndolo at Kiganjo college has been recalled to the headquarters.

The changes were announced by the acting Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow.

In other changes, Central regional commander Manase Musyoka has been moved to Nairobi where he will be working in the same capacity.

He will be replacing James Mugera who has attained the mandatory requirement age.

Gabow also named Catherine Mugwe as the staff officer training at police headquarters.

Gabow said the changes are normal and aim at boosting operations in the affected areas.
