Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has disclosed more details regarding the meeting between Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Western parliamentarians.

In an update via Twitter on Wednesday, November 23, Salasya noted that they never discussed matters of politics or who to support.

According to the legislator, the leaders only discussed matters of reviving the economy in the Western region. 

“We didn’t talk about political agenda to support whoever, but we spoke about partnership with national Government to revitalize our economy in western Kenya. My party remains DAP Kenya my party leader remains Eugen Wamalwa. Let’s see if this time round Musalia Mudavadi will remember us,” the Mumias East MP stated.

Mudavadi meets Western MPs 

Mudavadi on Wednesday held a meeting with Members of Parliament from the Western region.

The parliamentarians were drawn from different parties including UDA, ANC, ODM, and DAP-K.

According to the Prime Cabinet Secretary, the leaders discussed matters of unity for the sake of development in the Western region.

"I had a fruitful consultative breakfast meeting with Parliamentarians from the Western Region today. We discussed and agreed on unity of purpose by leaders, and the sharing of national resources for the region's social-economy development.

"The progress of our country will be accelerated when leaders unite, focus, and advocate for the interests of the people," Mudavadi tweeted.
