Ruto had attacked the ODM leader regarding a press conference he held on Thursday during which he castigated the government over four IEBC commissioners.

ODM  leader Raila Odinga has yet again disparaged President William Ruto regarding his remarks on the ouster of the four IEBC commissioners.

The four are Vice chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit, and Justus Nyang'aya are facing petitions for their removal from office.

The President had on Friday morning fired a response at the opposition chief accusing him of attempting to sabotage the parliamentary process seeking to make the four IEBC commissioners accountable.

But in a rejoinder, Raila asked the President to operate within the confines of the law. He said he has no power to go beyond what the constitution does not stipulate for him.

"There is due process and natural justice, things aren't just done at the whims of the executive. The rule of law must prevail and not your jungle laws that you want to institute so as to subjugate Kenyans to a conveyor belt system of elections come 2027. We shall not relent," Rail replied to Ruto's tweet.

The President had said the officials who risked putting the nation in danger for subverting the democratic will of the people must pay the ultimate price.

"The lords of impunity, who destroyed oversight institutions using the handshake fraud, should allow parliament to hold rogue officials who put the nation in danger by subverting the democratic will of the people to be held to account. The new order is the RULE of LAW not the wishes of big men," the President tweeted.

The response came after Raila held a press conference on Thursday during which he castigated Ruto for targeting the four IEBC commissioners.

The ODM leader who was in the company of his Wiper counterpart and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua accused Ruto of seeking revenge through the four commissioners.
