Raila has called for mass action in a bid to stop the planned ouster of four IEBC commissioners who are facing ouster petitions.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now wants ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka to ensure their daughter and son respectively lead the mass protests they are asking Kenyans to partake in.

The DP said it would be wrong for them, to ask other Kenyan children to be part of the demonstration yet their own have been deployed to the East African Legislative Assembly to serve as MPs.

Raila's daughter Winnie Odinga and Kalonzo's son Kennedy were elected by Parliament to EALA.

"If they want the people to go to the street, they must lead by example. These people who want our children to go to the street have organised for their children to serve in EALA in Arusha. Let your daughter and son come from Arusha and physically lead the demonstrations and the rest of Kenya can follow,” Gachagua said at a church service on Sunday at CITAM church.

The response came after the Azimio leader threatened mass action over the looming ouster of four IEBC commissioners.

The four commissioners Juliana Cherera(vice chairperson), Francis Wanderi, Irene Cherop and Justus Abonyo have been accused of trying t subvert the will of the people.

Raila said they will, beginning Wednesday, hold protests over petitions seeking the removal of the four.

"We are going to consult widely with the people of Kenya, beginning Wednesday in Nairobi. We will have a meeting with the people at Kamukunji Grounds to ask them if they accept that these commissioners should go home," Raila said.

"We will then do the same thing in Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu and Kakamega because an independent electoral commission is the referee and cannot be appointed by a player."
