Raburu quit Citizen TV which is owned by RMS in June after 13 years at the media house. 

Renowned media personality Willis Raburu has joined TV47 which is owned by Cape Media Limited barely three months after quitting Royal Media Services (RMS).  

A source privy to the matter disclosed to this journalist on Monday, August 21, that Raburu would be unveiled on Tuesday, August 22 at TV47 studios in Muthaiga.  

Willis Raburu will be hosting the Wabebe Experience every Friday from 10 PM on TV47.  

"The wait is over, welcome to the new journey, Wabebe," Raburu is heard saying in the new promo shared by the journalist.  

Raburu quit Citizen TV which is owned by RMS in June after 13 years at the media house. 

"I have made the decision to leave the Royal Media Services and it's been a tough decision but they have been so gracious to me from the time I tendered in my resignation in the beginning of June up to now, it has been an amazing transition and they have shown me so much grace testament to them and testament to the 13 years that I have been with them,” Raburu said while announcing his exit. 

He at the time said that he would be taking a break to continue with his Masters at the  United States International University (USIU).

"You want to ask me what next? Well, I want to rest for now, I want to take a breather, step back, look at everything, share the knowledge I have on the book, and also continue with my Masters that I am currently doing at USIU where I hope to graduate."It is on Strategic Communication and also Communication Development. So for now, that remains my focus,” he said. At the same time, TV47  on Tuesday, July 18 relaunched and unveiled its new state-of-the-art studios in Muthaiga, Nairobi County.  

The TV station recently unveiled new renowned news anchors and reporters in a move to set the bar high in the broadcast media space.

The latest additions included Fred Indimuli, Grace Kuria, George Maringa, Victor Mukayane, and Hibaq Said. 

Others were; Sheila Chelangat, Dennis Otieno, Andrine Kilemi, Joash Onsare, Flora Limukii, Eric Munene, Elizabeth Mutuku, Stanley Nyarigita, Linda Alela, and Paul Kirobi.
