Jibril Blessing popularly known as J Blessing has dismissed allegations of physically assaulting his baby mama Judith Nyambura alia Avril.

In a statement on Wednesday, November 15, J Blessing said he did not beat the renowned singer as alleged.

He noted that they had an altercation after which they agreed to go separate ways with the singer to avoid conflicts from happening again.

“I want to assure everyone that I did not beat her. I am not an abuser, and I do not support violence. I am a human being who has made mistakes in my life. Avril and I have agreed that it is best for both of us to stay away from each other to prevent such incidents from happening again,” read the statement in part.

J Blessing also said he was not innocent revealing that they had a physical altercation with Avril a year ago but took her to hospital for treatment after the incident.

He disclosed that one of the images posted by Avril on social media was from that incident.

“About a year ago, we had a physical altercation where we both got hurt and on that day, I immediately took her to the hospital at Aga khan. I take full responsibility for that moment of weakness. One of the pictures she posted is from that incident,” he added.

J Blessing further apologized to Avril for the harm he caused her while they were together.

The statement comes after Avril opened up on being assaulted by J Blessing during their relationship.

"I acknowledge that our seven-year relationship and our journey as parents to an amazing little boy has faced challenges and there have been conflicts that escalated into fights," Avril said.

The singer however said she has forgiven J Blessing and asked Kenyans aware of the incident to also forgive him.

"I forgive you J, please find it in your hearts to forgive him too. Everyone is deserving of forgiveness in this life,” she added.
