Media personality Antony Mwangi christened Anto Neosoul, decried missing payment after helping President William Ruto popularize his wheelbarrow movement at the height of the campaign period.

Anto Neosoul, a former Nation FM presenter, made the claims after one social media user tagged him in the video enjoying a wheelbarrow ride and asked him how he was fairing.

In response, Anto Neosoul claimed that he was shortchanged and is yet to receive his due payment.

“Hata sikulipwa…Hadi leo…nilibebwa ufala( I have not been paid to date. They took me for a fool),” his statement dated Friday, December 8, read in part.

He opened up about being ridiculed on various platforms including on my family forums after the clip went viral.

Following his admission, activist Boniface Mwangi appealed to Dennis Itumbi, a close associate of President William Ruto, to expedite the payment process of the artist.

However, by the time of this publication, Itumbi had not responded to Anto Neosoul's claims.

The former Nation FM host was hired to emcee at the event that brought together small-scale traders at the official DP residence in Karen.

During the event, Anto Neosoul was filmed being pushed in a wheelbarrow by Ruto, who was then a deputy president campaigning for the top seat, as they popularized the wheelbarrow movement and the Bottom Up Economic Agenda.

The famous tagline 'Hustler' helped Ruto win the 2022 Presidential Election beating Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga.

Anto Neosoul on the other hand, departed Nation FM in February this year to pursue other interests.

“It’s a decision I don’t take lightly, one that I have really sat and thought about, and it’s been quite difficult to fathom, but well, the time is here, and the time is now.” The 37-year-old said as he bid farewell to his fans.
