Controversial comedian Eric Omondi now claims that he does not have a child despite acknowledging journalist Jacque Maribe's son, Zahari as his child.
Speaking in an interview during his Tanzania tour, the comic also stated that he is still looking for a wife after unsuccessfully securing one through his Wife Material reality shows.
"I've been trying to get a wife from my show ‘Wife Material’ but I failed. I am turning 40 years old, sina mtu, sina mtoto, sina bibi. Sasa pia Arusha naomba nikiwachekesha msinisahau," Eric said.
Eric also spoke on his failed relationships with his Italian ex-girlfriend, Chantal Grazioli noting he regrets what he did to prove that he loved her.
“I bought a car, put up so many billboards and I was still dumped. I did everything… Nikikumbuka hio story ya bango inaniuma, ilinicost sana," he added.

In November 2021, Chantal distanced herself from publicity stunts pulled by Eric Omondi noting that she doesn’t want to be involved in any way with the clout chasing moves.
"Foremost, am not all about fake clout chasing, I have been silent and never spoken all along regarding my previous relationship with Eric.
"We left each other in good terms as adults. I want to clear my name from this madness, there are things said about me at some latest interviews that are not true regarding my family and I," she wrote.
