Bahati seemed to disagree with Azimo presidential candidate Odinga and left after the announcement. 

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his brigade pitched camp in Nairobi county for the second day ahead of the August polls. 

Odinga popularised Azimio candidates in Nairobi as well as selling their manifesto to the electorate. 

In a bid to secure majority seats in Nairobi County, the former Prime Minister urged the electorate to elect Azimio candidates.

"Staki mnipigie kura niende juu na huku chini mnapigia kura adui yangu, watanishika mateka," Odinga told the gathering on Sunday while campaigning in Ruaraka. 

In the Mathare parliamentary seat, the former Prime Minister besseched the electoral to elect the incumbent Anthony Oluoch.  

He went ahead and promised Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati a job if Azimio wins in the August polls. 

"Bahati ni mtoto yangu, yeye ntampatia kazi katika serikali yangu," Odinga stated.

Bahati, who was present in Azimio campaigns, seemed to disagree with Odinga and immediately left after the announcement. 

The musician cum politician would later issue a statement on social media insisting he would be on the ballot. 

"I... Bahati will be on the ballot this 9th of August. Cleared by IEBC and Jubilee," Bahati posted on Instagram.

The move by Odinga comes days after Jubilee Party Chairman (Nairobi branch) Gitonga Ndegwa said that the party had decided to support Anthony Oluoch of ODM in the Mathare constituency.

"We have come together to unite our Jubilee, ODM, and Wiper delegates. We have all agreed in one voice to endorse our ODM candidate in Mathare Anthony Aluoch," he stated.
