President Ruto committed the plans of the Raila Odinga-led opposition to God.

President William Ruto spared a moment to pray for the opposition while praying for the country while ushering in the new year.

The president, in the company of his wife Mama Rachel Ruto, and high-ranking government officials, was in Mombasa for the new year celebrations.

Ruto sidelined the political animosity rhetoric this time, praying for God's intervention in the affairs of the opposition led by ODM leader Raila Odinga and the larger Azimio La Umoja faction.

"We pray for our friends in the Opposition that you will give them appropriate knowledge so that they can work with us," prayed Ruto.
