CS Machogu released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results on December 21, 2022.


Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Monday, January 16 released the Form One Placement for the 2022 KCPE exams candidates. 

The function was held at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).

While launching the exercise, the CS said candidates can know which schools they have been placed in by sending their index number to 22263.

The CS said the form one selection exercise was computerised from the national to the county level.

The SMS service is accessible on all mobile networks and those seeking the information will be charged Sh25 each.

The candidates can also check on the Ministry of Education website for the Form One selection details.

"Parents and guardians can now access joining information that is available online for all categories of schools through the Ministry of education website www.education.go.ke," CS Machogu said.

"The results can also be checked by texting the candidate's index number to 22263," he added.

On April 2022, the council registered 1,225,507 candidates in 28,316 KCPE examination centres.

In line with the 100 percent transition to secondary schools, all candidates will be allocated a slot in the secondary schools.
