Trio Mio has been trending on social media with Kenyans guessing his KCSE results.

Kenyan Singer Mario TJ Kasela alias Trio Mio’s mother Irma Sofia has refuted claims that her son scored a D in the just released KCSE exams.

In a statement on Friday, January 20, Sofia stated that many Kenyans will be disappointed with the rumours.

“I won’t breathe because KCSE results are out? Relax. The boy did his best and I'm very proud of him and those speculating a D, I am sorry,” she stated.

Trio Mio has been trending on social media with Kenyans guessing his results. It’s not yet clear how the celebrated singer performed in the 2022 KCSE exam.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu earlier released the 2022 KCSE results at the Kenya National Examinations Council Offices off Dennis Prit Road.

According to the CS, 173,345 out of 881, 416 students who sat for the exam, attained grade C+ and above.

“The number of students with minimum university entry qualification of grade C+ and above has risen to 173,345 forming 19.03 percent in the year 2022 KCSE examination compared to 145,776 which was 17.55 percent in 2021,” CS Machogu stated.

The Education CS also noted that in 2022 a total of 1,146 students scored grade A compared to 1,138 in 2021.
