Former Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa now claims that four security officers who were attached to him have been withdrawn.

Speaking on Thursday, February 9 During the Azimio la Umoja Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting in Machakos County, Wamalwa alleged that the Kenya Kwanza administration is targeting former Cabinet secretaries allied to the Azimio camp.

“What is happening now reminds us of the dark KANU days. We went to a function in Kibra, and by the time we were leaving that rally, because some of us have been seen committed to this other side, we have been targeted. Having been a Defense minister I had about four security officers. Three were withdrawn, but the day I was seen in Kibra the next day the only remaining police officer assigned to me was also withdrawn,” Wamalwa said.

"So whatever has been done is in good faith and the IG is available if any of our leaders have any issues. Ours is to ensure that we are fair to every senior citizen. Our mandate is to serve all without bias," Koome said on Friday, February 3.
