Raila Odinga's dirge and rituals on George Magoha's coffin caused excitement.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga caused excitement moments after arriving at former education CS George Magoha's funeral in Siaya county.  

The funeral procession is going on ahead at Maseno University Odera Akango campus of the deceased's burial later on Saturday, February 11, at his native home in Umiru, Siaya county. 

Raila showed up while current Education CS Ezekiel Machogu was making his speech.

The CS was forced to pause as the mourners embarked on ululations as the former prime minister made his way to the spot where Magoha's body had been placed.  

Armed with a shield and arrow, he sang a dirge and chanted Jowi as the crowd shouted in affirmation.

The rituals are in line with the Luo community traditions as regards funerals.
