The MP linked a Cabinet Secretary to his woes saying he will expose him this Friday.

Pokot South MP David Pkosing has dismissed reports that he is funding and supplying weapons to bandits terrorising communities in Turkana and neighbouring counties.

Speaking shortly after he left the DCI headquarters on Thursday, the MP defended his record of preaching peace saying he is not involved in any banditry activity.

"I am a peaceful person and served in the Peace and Justice Commission before becoming an MP. Everyone is aware of that. And for the record, I have never recorded a police statement before. This is my first time," he said.

The MP went on to say that he was being witch-hunted for granting 7 seven Pokots bonds after they were released by the courts following their arrest.

He confirmed that indeed he bailed them out and said the move was fueled by his belief that they were innocent.

"What I know is that they’re innocent boys, and that is why the court had seen it fit to release them on bond. Bond is not an illegal thing in Kenya. It is in the law," the MP stated.

His Lawyer Danstan Omari at the same time weighed in on the alleged white chopper supplying weapons to bandits.

He denied that his client owned the chopper and termed the DCI summon as a witch hunt.

"He has never owned a white chopper, and it is all over that the alleged chopper that is supposed to be funding or transporting the bandits is white. The MP has accounted for all the days since this issue started, and that is why he has been released to go home," he said.

The white chopper is said to have been used to supply weapons to the bandits in the area.

Omari divulged that Pkosing had received a message from a senior government official warning him of the arrest.

The MP pledged to unmask the senior individual whom the referred to as a CS this Friday.
