Top on the list of big names featured in the new list is Former Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali.


The Public Service Commission has revised its earlier list of shortlisted candidates for the post of Cabinet Administrative Secretary. 

In the earlier list, 224 applicants had been shortlisted but in the revised one, 16 more candidates have been included in list.

"The Commission publishes the names of the shortlisted candidates. This list supersedes the one which was published in the print on February 21, 2023," PSC Chair Anthony Muchiri wrote.

Top on the list of big names featured t is Former Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali.

Washiali campaigned for President William Ruto and UDA candidates in the Western Kenya region.

He opted not to defend his MP seat in the August 9, 2022 elections and channelled his energy to campaigning for Ruto.

Also included in the list are UDA party primaries losers David Kiplagat Korir (Baringo Central Constituency) and Allan Kosgey (Nandi Governor).

James Kimanthi Mbaluka who unsuccessfully sought the Kibwezi West seat on a UDA ticket is also in the new seat.

Former Baringo County Speaker David Kiplagat and former Migori Minority Leader Nicholas Ngabiya Rioba have also been included.

Others are Charles Kibanani Ngome, Mary Nyangara Karema, Justa Mwang, Mohammed Ibrahim Ibrein, Mohamed Maalim Mohamud, Mohamud Ali Saleh, David Sande, Lucy Mihiuko Muchoki, Loice Chepchirchir Rono, James Peter Machoka and Josephat Ijela Lisiolo Loshenga
