Jessie Wafula Walukha, alleged boyfriend and the main suspect in the murder of Kenyatta University masters student June Jerop Kangongo has made fresh revelations regarding his association with the deceased.
In a new case lodged in Courts, Wafula wants the court to stop the murder prosecution against him saying there is no evidence linking him to the deceased death.
Through his lawyer John Swaka, Wafula wants the court to suspend his criminal charges pending the hearing of the petition.
He also wants the court to set aside, vary and review the orders issued on April 5, and release and/or discharge him from any further incarceration as relates to the murder case pending the hearing and determination of the application.
Swaka also wants the court to grant Wafula anticipatory bail pending charges to prevent his future arrest.

Contrary to reports that he had met Jerop prior to her death, Wafula denied the reports saying he was only arrested on March 23 and accused of the murder.
Wafula, who describes himself as an IT expert, disclosed that Jerop contacted him on March 17 and March 18, 2023, but she did not manage to talk to him. He denied having met her for coffee talk saying that never happened.
“I was informed of Jerop’s death by police officers and before I could comprehend that she is no more, I was arrested," he added.
Wafula insists that he was in Bungoma by the time the alleged crime happened saying there is no way he could have been involved adding that police have not produced any single piece of evidence to link him.
In his affidavit, Wafula adds that the deceased bought a car from him but still owed him Sh1 million.
He says Jerop had asked him to put the car lease in his name to avoid scrutiny from National Industrial Training Authority (Nita) where she worked as an accountant.
Wafula says the suspect never wanted her friends to know he had bought a car. He also revealed that her lifestyle was far much than her pay since she earned Sh48,000 but lived in a house whose rent was Sh30,000.
"At the time of her passing, she still owed me Sh1 million which she was still paying. As such the motor vehicle was still in my name," he stated.
"She asked me to have the lease put in my name so that she could escape any interrogation at work since she earned Sh48,000 and her rent was Sh30,000."
The suspects also told the court that the deceased was his business partner and would use his company based in Bungoma County to apply for tenders at NITA.
