Marriott in an update via her Twitter page confirmed the changes saying that she would miss Kenya as she moves to another role.

“After four amazing years, my time in Kenya is up in June - I will miss Kenya and Kenyans enormously. Make sure to follow my successor FCDO Neil Wigan - look out for more soon on what we achieve together, #tufaulupamoja. I’ll be popping up in another role in July,” she stated.

Before his appointment as the UK Ambassador to Kenya, Wigan served the same role in Tel Aviv Israel.

He has also previously served as the UK Ambassador to Somalia and DRC. The father of two has also worked as the FCO Director Africa from 2015 to 2018.
