Mackenzie owns 800 acres of land within Chakama Ranch. He allocated some to his followers.

Police in Malindi have discovered twelve graves in land owned by a controversial Malindi pastor Paul Mackenzie in Shakahola in  Magarini Sub-County, Kilifi County.   

The ongoing operation by the Homicide Unit is being led by Director General Martin Nyuguto.

Homicide detectives from Nairobi discovered the graves after launching a probe on the pastor who is currently in detention. 

During the probe, two more bodies were recovered at Shakahola. This brings the total number of dead to eight.

The two are believed to be Mackenzie's followers who fasted to death on his instructions.

The discovered graves were spotted in different areas of the land owned by Pastor Mackenzie.  

Some of the graves are near houses belonging to the followers Good News International Church pastor, others are in the forest and some are inside farms.  

Mackenzie owns 800 acres of land within Chakama Ranch. It is at the ranch that he allocated some of the lands to his followers to put up some structures they lived in. 

During the operation, police discovered a woman who was in critical condition. She was hiding in one of the shanties where Mackenzie's followers stayed in agony due to starvation.

It is believed she is a victim of prolonged fasting and was rushed to Malindi Sub County Hospital.

Many families are afraid that their relatives could be victims of Starvation and have asked the police to expedite the probe.
