The National Prayer Breakfast is scheduled on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Safari Park Hotel.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula on Monday, June 5 held a meeting with President William Ruto to brief him about the National Prayer Breakfast scheduled on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Safari Park Hotel.

In a statement via Twitter, Wetang’ula stated that he was joined by Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, the Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge, and members of the organizing committee in the meeting with the Head of State.

“Earlier today, I had the privilege of joining the Speaker Hon Amason Kingi the Clerk of the Senate, the Clerk of the National Assembly, and members of the organizing committee for a debriefing meeting with His Excellency President William Ruto.

“This meeting set the stage for the upcoming Prayer Breakfast, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 7th June 2023, at the Safari Park Hotel,” he stated.

The National Assembly Speaker noted that the event will unite the country by bringing leaders from diverse sectors together in prayer.

“The primary aim of this event is to bring together leaders from diverse sectors of society, fostering an inclusive environment where they can unite in prayer for the nation's welfare,” said Wetangu’la.

The National Prayer Breakfast was supposed to be held on May 31 but was rescheduled to June 7, 2023.

Wetang’ula in a statement last week announced the change saying it was occasioned by factors beyond his control.

“This is to inform you that due to factors beyond our control, the 20th National Prayer Breakfast which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 31 May 2023 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 7th June 2023,” Wetang’ula stated.
