The Kenya Railways has suspended midweek passenger services between Nairobi and Nanyuki indefinitely.

The management in a statement on Thursday said the suspension will take effect beginning Wednesday, June 21, next week. 

The management did not specify the exact reason for the suspension of the midweek passenger train services.

"We wish to notify the public that we had temporarily suspended the midweek train services to Nanyuki effective Wednesday, June 21, 2023, until further notice," the management said.

The management further said the weekend trips will continue as it is adding that it entails a train leaving Nanyuki on Fridays around 9:00 am and returning trip on Sundays at 9 am.

"However, the weekend trips where we have a train departing for Nanyuki every Friday at 9.00 am and making a return trip every Sunday at 9.00 am shall continue uninterrupted," the management added.

"We thank you for your continued support and will endeavor to improve our service to serve you better."
