The Kenya Airports Authority has dismissed as fake an advertisement indicating that there are over 2000 job opportunities at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The notice asked Kenyans to apply for jobs that include internal auditors, human resource managers, drivers, cleaners, nurses, electricians, flight dispatchers, and security guards among others.

The list had been circulated on social media asking qualified Kenyans to pursue the opportunities if interested.

But on Saturday, June 17, the KAA flagged the list as fake and asked Kenyans to disregard it.

"Do not Be fooled, Be Aware and Share! It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous persons are defrauding members of the public through false claims that they can secure employment at Kenya Airports Authority," KAA said in a tweet.

KAA asked Kenyans to disregard such lists and follow its official and verified social handles and website for reliable information on job opportunities.

"Unsuspecting victims are being lured through via fake social media pages and posters. Please note, All job opportunities available at the authority are officially advertised in leading daily newspapers and posted on the KAA official website - http://kaa.go.ke/careers," the authority further said.
