"I am very happy to see Pastor Rigathi, I didn't know we have a firebrand in Kenya," he said.

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has described Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's spouse Pastor Dorcas as a "firebrand" lady.

Museveni admired her clerical skills saying she will borrow them to advance her religious journey.

"I am very happy to see Pastor Rigathi, I didn't know we have a firebrand in Kenya," he said.

"When we were swearing in the new government, I was there but she didn't speak of course, but now I'm really surprised to see a very powerful cadre here. I will take advantage of your pastoring skills."

Museveni spoke on Friday during the launch of the book Jesus’ Africa at Uganda's State House.

The book was written by Patience Museveni Rwabwogo.

Pastor Dorcas Rigathi puts her signature during the launch of the book.

Patience is Museveni's second-born daughter and the pastor of Covenant Nations Church in Kampala.

Pastor Dorcas is building a legacy pegged on religious doctrine.

She has been at the forefront of advocating for God's work even as she incorporated them in various aspects of her programmes.

Pastor Dorcas has been championing the Boychild program where she sponsors a rehabilitation program for drug addicts.

She pursued this course after recognising that the boychild has been neglected in society since most programs focus on the girlchild.

On June 8,  Pastor Dorcas said she is committed to rehabilitating at least 2,000 addicts under the inpatient program and at least 4,000 addicts under the outpatient program by the end of the year.
