Three of the soldiers died on the spot while one succumbed while receiving treatment at the Marsabit Referral Hospital.

Four Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers have died after their Land cruiser was involved in a nasty accident in the Karare area along the Marsabit-Isiolo Highway on Tuesday, June 27.

According to reports, the accident occurred after the vehicle lost control and rolled several times.

Three of the soldiers died on the spot while one succumbed while receiving treatment at the Marsabit Referral Hospital.

Six other officers who were in the vehicle were injured during the accident with three of them said to be in critical condition.

The accident comes days after five pupils from Ebenezer Academy in Busia and a driver lost their lives in Kaburengo, Bungoma County.

Police reports indicated that the accident occurred on Saturday evening after a truck headed towards Webuye from Eldoret lost control near Chimoi area and rammed into the Ebenezer Academy school bus from the side causing it to tip over.

Due to the impact of the accident, four girls and one boy died on the spot alongside the bus driver.

Eight pupils and three teachers were injured in the accident. The injured were taken to the Webuye County Hospital to receive medical care.
