“Tomorrow there will be peace in Kenya, I have heard that those people (Azimio) want to protest again," Ruto said.

President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that there will be peace in the country tomorrow when the Azimio la Umoja coalition is expected to continue with anti-government protests.

Speaking on Tuesday in Ruai, Nairobi County, the President stated that he will not allow Kenyans to lose their lives over the Azimio protests.

“Tomorrow there will be peace in Kenya, I have heard that those people (Azimio) want to protest again, on Friday they protested and 6 Kenyans lost their lives, and you want to protest again so that people will lose their lives again? It will not happen,” said Ruto.

The Head of State told Kenyans to prepare themselves and go to work tomorrow as usual.

“Every Kenyan should prepare to go to work. Everybody should do their personal businesses so that the country can move forward,” he added.

Ruto accused the opposition of holding demos against his government because they are jealous of him creating job opportunities for youths.

“Those guys who are protesting are jealous of me because I want to take the youth so that they can work and they (Azimio) will lack people who will demonstrate and throw stones in the streets. Nobody was born in this country to demonstrate. I want to tell them to please give the Kenyan people and Kenyan youth a break,” Ruto claimed.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga earlier asked Kenyans to come out in numbers on Wednesday to protest against the Kenya Kwanza government.

“We are back tomorrow, at Kamkunji in Nairobi and Kamkunjis elsewhere across the country. Once again, we appeal to Kenyans to come out in even bigger numbers and make their voices heard. With time, Ruto will respect Kenyans,” said Raila.
