“Next week, I am going to stand before the ODM party disciplinary committee," Jalang'o.

President William Ruto has advised Langata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour popularly known as Jalang’o that receiving a disciplinary letter from the ODM Party is maturing politically.

Speaking on Saturday, July 15 during the thanksgiving ceremony of Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo in Homa Bay, the President told Jalang’o and other ODM rebel MPs that they are on the right path politically.

“I was the ODM Deputy Party leader and I was also given the disciplinary letter. I want to tell Jalang'o and Ochanda, they said they have received disciplinary letters from the ODM party. If you want to go forward and succeed in politics, pata tu hio barua ya ODM," said President Ruto.

He went on to narrate to Jalang’o how he was taken to court by ODM and had a five-year legal battle after which he became the Deputy President.

“I was taken to court by ODM, as they tried to expel me. I will tell you how to deal with that. We had a five-year legal battle, and after it ended, I became the Deputy President,” Ruto added.

The Head of State was responding after Jalang’o asked him to intervene and talk to ODM Party leader Raila Odinga so that he will not be expelled from the Party.

“Next week, I am going to stand before the ODM party disciplinary committee. I have looked at all the charges, and the most significant one is that I am your friend. I know that you are a friend of Raila Odinga, please talk to him because if you look at the people we have been accused together, Ojienda and Caroli are lawyers, please, don't let them finish me,” Jalang’o pleaded.
