Karua has pledged to send a demand letter to the media house over the reporting.

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karuas has lashed out at the Nation Media Group over a report that allegedly quoted her without seeking her comment.

Karua in a tweet called out the media house saying he will be pursuing legal action soon.

The report by the nation highlighted a possibility of truce talks between the Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto being in the works.

According to the report, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Lawyer Makau Mutua are said to have represented Raila in the meeting held to seal a truce deal.

Karua on her part, however, denied the existence of such talks.

"Nation Media Group,  It is unprofessional for your paper Daily Nation to publish gossip/propaganda by your reporter Ms Obala and purported to quote me without seeking any confirmation or comment from me. As part of Azimio's top leadership, I am not aware of any such negotiations by Makau Mutua or Junet Mohamed. Expect a formal demand letter from me FYI," Karua tweeted.

Reports have been rife that the Azimio leader and the President could be seeking to have a truce but their close associates have rejected such plans.

This comes even as Azimio vows to continue with their three-day protests beginning Wednesday to Friday.

The government on the other hand has vowed to block the protest from happening.

Ruto has said he will mobilise all the resources in ensuring the protests do not see the light of day.
