The Public Service Commission has advertised 8,000 internship positions that Kenyan graduates who are yet to secure employment can apply. 

The Public Service Internship Programme is a government Youth empowerment programme whose main objective is to offer college graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build skills in preparation for the job market.

PSC in the notice said those seeking the position must first have a bachelor's degree in any discipline or course from a recognised university. 

The interested applicant must have not graduated earlier than 2017 and must have computer skills.

The successful interns will be required to complete duties mutually agreed upon by and assigned by the supervisors.

They will also be required to document relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment.

They will also be required to actively participate in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme.

The internship will be for a period of 12 months, non-renewable, and the successful candidates will be paid a stipend at a rate determined by the government.

Upon completion of the internship Programme, the interns will be awarded a certificate.
