President William Ruto has asked Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to apologise to Kenyans.

President William Ruto has asked the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to apologize to Kenyans over the recent anti-government protests that led to the loss of lives and destruction of property.

Speaking on Friday, July 28 in Kilifi County, the President it was dishonest for Raila to pretend to be concerned about the well-being of the people yet sponsoring protests.

“The people who are funding and organizing these riots that have cost the loss of lives of Kenyan people, that have destroyed businesses and destruction of public property should be ashamed of themselves. They should apologize to the people of Kenya for engaging in organizing and financing of chaos,” said Ruto.

He went on to say that no life would have been lost or property destroyed if Azimio had not planned or financed the anti-government demonstration.

The Head of State also reiterated that the Government will take stringent measures to protect the lives and property of Kenyans.

“I want to promise the people of Kenya that we are going to eject violence from the political equation in the republic of Kenya. We are going to make sure everybody’s right is protected because the constitution gives us sufficient latitude to engage security agencies to protect everybody’s right,” Ruto added.
