They meeting with the DP happened at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday evening met a group of professionals from Kitui county. 

The professionals were led by Tourism CS Peninah Malonza and National security advisor to the President Monica Juma. 

They met the DP at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi . 

Gachagua termed the meeting as development oriented and which discussed priority areas of development for the people of Kitui county. 

"We discussed at length, priority projects including improving road networks, enhancing access to safe and clean water for domestic and commercial use, exploitation of natural resources in the county, among others for the benefit of the People of Kitui County and the Lower Eastern Region at large," Gachagua said in a statement.

He added that the meeting sealed an agreement that will see the government strategically work together with the people of Kitui up to the grassroots level. 

Gachagua said as a government, they will work with all stakeholders in pushing for development of the people saying nobody will be sidelined. 

He added that the only unity that should prioritized in the country is that which will see all areas developed. 

"The Ruto Administration will continue unifying our people, seeking collaboration and partnership in building alliances with experts, thought leaders and technocrats for the benefit of the people."
