ODM leader Raila Odinga's 2022 Presidential agent Saitabao Kanchory has announced that he will run for the presidency in the 2027 general elections.
Kanchory took to Twitter to announce he will take his first stab at the top seat.
"Fellow Kenyans, it's exactly 1 year since we went to the polls all hoping for a New & Better Kenya. That promise and many many more remain unfulfilled," Kanchory said in a tweet.
"The next election is 4 short years away and since the campaigns have started (or never stopped), let me take this early opportunity to answer your call for me and other courageous young leaders to rescue our country from the wicked grip of political deception, conmanship and corruption that cuts across the current political divide."

He went on to ask Kenyans to prepare to vote for a new leadership that will mark a new dawn towards service delivery.
"If we are tired of the same old Fake folks, faces, and stories, let's make 2027 the year of true change and a new dawn. Now you have a reason to vote on 10th August 2027," he added to the tweet.
Kanchory was Raila's ardent supporter ahead of the 2022 August Polls and was even tasked with guarding his votes.
The former prime minister however lost his fifth attempt.
