Ngunyi had claimed William Ruto while serving as deputy president was being denied VIP treatment at State House.

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has rattled lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi after the former's recent media interview.

Ngunyi who was former president Uhuru Kenyatta's confidante revealed machinations he claimed were pushed by the state to injure President William Ruto's candidature.

He alleged that the Roots Party of Kenya presidential candidate was being used to challenge Ruto and allow Raila a leeway to state house.

The "Tyranny of Numbers" theorist went ahead to divulge how Ruto was mistreated by the former head of state.

The object was to quell any chances of him (Ruto) winning the presidential vote.

Ngunyi detailed some of the disgust meted on Ruto when he was the deputy president.

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi.

"Ruto has always been an outsider. I can give you a very good example because interacted with him in State House numerous times. At some point as Deputy President, he used the same washroom as the rest of us. Some people had the privilege of using different facilities.

The Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service had a reserved washroom that was red carpeted, with gold coloured taps. I used to ask myself, "why wouldn't Ruto be allowed to use at least that facility instead of coming to ours?" claimed Ngunyi.

Detesting the revelation, Ahmednasir suggested they are unmeaning.

He called Ngunyi out for lacking self-respect.
