President William Ruto has in the past weeks toured a number of counties to launch development projects.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has slammed President William Ruto over touring across the country weekly to launch development projects.

Speaking on Saturday, August 26 in Kitengela town, Kajiado County, Raila rubbished the development projects being launched by President Ruto.

The opposition chief also wondered if Ruto gets time to work for Kenyans since he has been touring several counties in the past few weeks.

“Kuzuru hapa na pale ati unafungua mradi hii na hii, yote ni takataka. Huwezi kuleta maendeleo kwa nchi kila wiki leo uko pale kesho uko pale, unafanya Kazi saa ngapi? Hiyo ni Tanga tanga na kufanya taka taka,” Raila stated.

The former Prime Minister at the same time chided the Kenya Kwanza government over the new University education funding model saying the current administration has destroyed university education.

He further noted that the Ruto government has not made any changes to the lives of Kenyans in the past year it has been in power.

“Mambo ya elimu ya chuo kikuu wameharibu kabisa. Mambo ya karo ya shule vile vile imebaki hivo. Hakuna mabadiliko imefanyika mwaka mmoja imepita, uongo kila siku matusi kila siku. Hakuna siasa ya matusi inaeza kuleta maendelo,” Raila added.

His remarks come as President William Ruto is touring the western region to launch various development projects in Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega and Vihiga counties.

The Head of State on Friday toured Kisii and Nyamira counties to launch roads, markets and an industrial park.

Before visiting the Kisii region, President Ruto was in Nakuru, Baringo and Nyandarua counties.
