The African Climate Summit came to an end on Wednesday. 

Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has praised President William Ruto after Kenya successfully the inaugural African Climate Summit.

In a statement on Wednesday, September 6, Ngunyi noted that Kenya is regaining its urge to dominate the African continent since President Ruto came to power.

The political commentator went on to say the climate summit was a success that even Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga attended.

“One year after Ruto took over, Kenya is regaining its Libido Dominandi (The urge to dominate). And #ACS23 is a testament to this. You cannot argue with the smooth execution of this meeting. Even Babaman could not resist attending. I liked his cheeky entrance. Only baba can do this,” Ngunyi tweeted.

COTU boss Francis Atwoli has also praised President Ruto, for the African Climate Summit saying it was well organized.

Atwoli also noted that Nairobi is becoming a multilateral capital of Africa under the leadership of President Ruto.

“On behalf of Kenyan workers allow me to Congratulate President William Ruto for the well-organized Africa Climate Summit. Under the leadership of President Ruto, Nairobi is increasingly becoming the multilateral capital of Africa,” he tweeted.

The climate summit, which began on Monday, ended on Wednesday and brought together 12 former heads of state and government and their deputies 66 ministers from various countries, and more than 20 heads of international organizations.

Speaking during the summit, Ruto urged the delegates to return to their countries with their heads held high.

“After our declaration let us go home satisfied with a job very well done, proud of the progress we have made, and eager to embark on the next phase of our transformation everywhere in our continent,” said Ruto.
