KUCCPS has extended the deadline for students who missed placements at KMTC.

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) has extended the deadline for students who missed placements at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In a statement on Tuesday, September 12, KUCCPS announced that the new deadline will lapse on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

KMTC in a separate notice urged students who missed out in the first placement to revise their options in the KUCCPS portal.

The college however noted that the revision is limited to a few selected courses.

“If you applied for KMTC courses via the KUCCPS portal but missed an opportunity, we have some good news for you. You can now log in to KUCCPs and select an alternative course at No cost. This portal will remain open from today until September 16th, 2023. Note: This revision is open for a few selected courses,” KMTC stated.

This comes days after Education CS Ezekiel Machogu also extended the deadline for students seeking loans and scholarships for their higher education.

Machogu in a statement on Wednesday September 6 aid the deadline has now been extended to October 7, 2023.

“The application period for loans and scholarships that was initially scheduled to lapse on September 7, 2023, has now been extended to October 7, 2023,” read the statement in part.

The Education CS at the same time directed the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to review its portal to ensure all the 2,000 students yet to reach the age of 18 apply for HELB loans.

Machogu also ordered the Universities Fund and Higher Education Loans Board to put measures for speedy processing of scholarships and bursaries for students who applied.
