Parents of Eregi Girls High School students, in Kakamega County, stormed the institution on Tuesday morning demanding an audience with the principal after reports of an outbreak of a mysterious disease.
In video footage seen by Nairobi Leo, the agitated parents appeared disturbed even as they walked from one office to another looking for the Principal.
The parents sought an audience with the Principal, who was seemingly not in school, to know the status of their children.
"Tumekaa hapo nje from 6 am mpaka sa hizi sijaona mtoto wangu. We want to talk with the principal," one of the parents said.
"Kama Principal angekua na brain, angetengeneza tent pale nje to attend to the parents. We are the ones paying money. We don't want that nonsense," another parent noted.

"Inakuaje mwalimu hachukui simu yetu na mwingine anakata simu na hatujui hali ya watoto."
Teachers, in most of the offices they entered seeking answers, declined to comment on the matter.
The Principal was missing from her office at the time the parents entered.
The parents were worried about the well-being of their children following reports that over 60 students were admitted to various hospitals in Kakamega.
As of Monday evening, 30 students were admitted to Kakamega Level Five Hospitals, 20 to Shibwe Level Four Hospital, and 12 to Iguhu Level Four Hospital.
The students are said to be suffering from a mysterious disease that had weakened their joints and were unable to stand.
Video footage seen by this writer showed some students being ferried in a wheelchair.
