President William Ruto has sanctioned new appointments to two state agencies.

In a Gazette Notice published on Friday, October 6, the president appointed Professor Collins Odote Oloo to be the chair of Council of Legal Education, revoking the appointment of Githu Muigai.

Odote would serve as the non-executive chairperson of the council for three years.

The president also appointed seven people to be members of the Advisory Committee on the Power of Mercy for five years.

The appointments by the president were published in the Gazette Notice on Friday, October 6.

The seven are Lorna Mutoro, Patrick Musau, John Kutswa, Edward Kibiwott, Humpton Rodgers Namu, Maalim Abdullahi and Jane Wanjiku Kuria.

Other appointments published in the Gazette were by various Cabinet Secretaries.

Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u appointed Paul Mwiti to be a member of the Kenya Trade Network Agency Board for three years.

Ndung'u also appointed former Kisumu Town West MP Olago Oluoch to be the chair of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Board for three years.

Susan Nakhumicha of Health appointed Allyce Kureiya and Jawahira Hussein as members of the KMTC and Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority boards of directors respectively; they would serve for three years.

Mithika Linturi of the Agriculture and Livestock Development docket appointed Francis Lesas to be a member of the Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council for three years.
