The letter to Senate Speaker Amason Kingi comes at a time when the MCAs have vowed to impeach the county boss.

Meru County Governor Kawira Mwangaza has moved to the Senate in a bid to address the leadership wrangles pitting her,  the County Assembly of Meru and her Deputy Governor Isaa Mutuma.

The County Boss in a letter seen by Nairobi said she had been enjoying a cordial working relationship with the MCAs until, out of nowhere, they began plans to impeach her to office yet again.

"Whereas after the motion on the failed attempt to remove me from my position as the county governor, we were able to reconcile with the County Assembly and have enjoyed a very cordial working relationship for the last eight months until just recently," Governor Mwangaza said in a letter addressed to Speaker Amadon Kingi.

The letter was copied to the Clerk of the Senate and the Speaker of the County Assembly of Meru.

Mwangaza went on to State that she has been relying on the support of the UDA-elected MCAs to run her agenda at the County Assembly, considering that they are the majority party, but that is no longer the case.

She noted that the UDA party have withdrawn support for her county government and joined the bid to kick her out of office.

At the same time, she noted that the minority DEP party has also followed suit and vowed to kick her out of office.

Mwangaza also pointed out that her Deputy Isaac Mutua, Meru County Senator Murungi Kathuri, CS Mithika  Linturi and all elected MPs have all ganged up against her.

"They have been calling press conferences and beating war drums on how they are going to impeach me over 'incompetence'," Mwangaza noted.

"My Deputy has gone to the extent of calling members of the County Assembly who have openly some to support my government and wooing them to support him to have me removed instead."

Based on the aforementioned issues of concern, Governor Mwangaza has asked the Senate to intervene and reconcile her with the MCAs.

"In the spirit of reconciliation and well aware that the Senate standing committee in charge of devolution is in a position to mediate over the see perceived difference between myself , the deputy governor and the County Assembly, I write to you to invite the said committee to intervene."
