Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has announced that names and photographs of the thirty-five most wanted terror suspects will be unveiled on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

CS Kindiki in a statement on Tuesday October 17 said the identities of the suspects will be circulated in mainstream print media and shared by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) online platforms.

The Interior CS ordered the terror suspects to surrender to any Police Station within the Republic of Kenya immediately once their identities are revealed.

“The suspects, whose names and photographs will be circulated in the mainstream print media and posted on official online platforms of the Interior Ministry and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) tomorrow 18th October 2023, are ordered to surrender to any Police Station within the Republic of Kenya immediately," said Kindiki.

Kindiki said the thirty-five terror suspects are connected with the placement of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on various earth roads in Lamu county, killing of civilians along the Lamu-Witu-Garsen Highway, killing civilians at Lango la Simba, Witu, Mpeketoni, Juhudi, Salama, Hindi among other places and the attack on the American Military Base at Manda Bay on 5th January 2020.

The Interior CS further said a substantial cash reward will be offered to any person who provides credible information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects.

“While the arrest or neutralization of these terrorists remains the most immediate objective, other measures and strategies have been put in place to win the war against terror in Lamu County, the Boni Enclave, and elsewhere in the entire Republic of Kenya,” he added.
