Police officers in Kamulu, Njiru sub-county in Nairobi are investigating an incident in which a woman was found dead in her house.
The woman is said to have been left in the house by the husband who was heading to work.
However, in the evening, the husband came to the house and stumbled on the body of the woman lying lifeless on the floor of the house.
"The husband told police he left her in the house Monday morning while fit and left for work. When he came back in the evening around 5pm he found the lifeless body of the woman on the floor of the house," police sources said.
The man reported the incident to the police after which a team of officers was deployed to the scene.

Police observation of the body showed that it had no visible injuries.
The cause of the death was not immediately established. The body was moved to a mortuary pending autopsy.
