A 57-year-old man has been reported dead after booking a hotel room with his 21-year-old suspected lover.
A report filed at Showground Police Post in Nakuru indicates that Geoffrey Njoroge Maina booked a room at Graceland Hotel in Milimani with his suspected lover Joy Moragwa.
The hotel receptionist Emily Cheptanui, who reported the incident to police, said that Moragwa informed her the 57-year-old man had developed some complications.
"She came to her alleging that the man, now deceased, was having difficulty in breathing. This prompted her to seek help from the police," the police OB report said.
The scene was visited by DCI detectives from Kaptembwo Police Station, Crime Service Investigations officers and DCI Nakuru West.
The officers processed and documented the scene.
"They found the body lying on the bed with no visible physical injuries. The body was moved to Nakuru County Municipal Morgue," the OB report further said.
The deceased will undergo a post-mortem examination.
